Soren Nieminen is a Certified General Appraiser with Yovino-Young, providing commercial valuation services across the San Francisco Bay Area since 2022. He appraises a wide range of property types including office, industrial, retail, multifamily, mixed-use, and special-use assets for attorneys, fiduciaries, investors, and property owners. He currently serves as the East Bay Chair of the Northern California Chapter of the Appraisal Institute.
Before entering the appraisal profession, Soren spent over a decade in research, marketing, and content strategy at companies including Apple, The Economist, and the digital media company Quartz. That background in financial analysis, complex project management, and clear communication under deadline translates directly to the demands of commercial appraisal. His experience as a real estate investor since 2019 gives him a practical understanding of how property decisions get made.
A resident of Albany, Soren has lived on four continents and still loves to travel. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, movies, open houses, the NFL, and spending time with his wife, two kids, and whatever pets happen to be running the household. He’s a lifelong animal lover and an avid photographer, though these days most of his shots are of comps.
